Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ, [March 27, 2025] – As a part of Festival of Computing, School of Computing and Digital Technologies organised an engaging event: Exploring Opportunities in Sheffield’s Digital Landscape with Ross Musgrove from Bravand. The event was designed to illuminate student about the diverse roles available in Sheffield’s thriving digital market. The session highlighted essential digital skills for today and the future, the power of networking, and key steps to launching a successful business.

Organised to bridge the gap between education and industry, the event provided students with insights into high-demand careers such as AI Applications, Computer programming, Cloud computing, software development, data analysis, UX/UI design, and cybersecurity. Ross shared their experiences, emphasising the growing need for adaptability, coding proficiency, AI literacy, and creative problem-solving in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

A key focus was the importance of socialising and building professional connections. Ross encouraged students to engage with local tech communities, attend networking events, and leverage platforms like LinkedIn to open doors to collaborations and career opportunities.
