Summary

I am currently the Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Ethics Lead for the College of Business, Technology and Engineering. I teach on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules with the Food and Nutrition Group and supervise a variety of PhD students.

About

I have an undergraduate degree and PhD in nutrition. My PhD investigated the effect of raw and processed vegetables on DNA damage in colonocytes. I have previously worked as a nutritional scientist for the Scottish Foods Standard Agency and as a researcher in the Human Nutrition Unit at the University of Sheffield investigating dietary folate and risk of cardiovascular disease. My primary research interests focus on the effects of plant foods and caffeine on health and exercise performance/recovery.
