I am a part time PhD student in Criminology and Law and full time Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Associate.
About
I joined Sheffield Hallam in 2019 to commence my PhD programme. My PhD is a comparative study on punitive policies governing the monitoring or two groups; persons with convictions and asylum seekers across the following jurisdictions; Italy, England, Wales and the Netherlands. From 2020 to 2022, I was an Associate Lecturer in the Criminology and Law Department in Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ. In 2021, I was honoured to be nominated for Sheffield Hallam’s Inspirational Teaching Award.
Prior to commencing a PhD I completed a BSc in Government from University College of Cork and an LLM in Human Rights and Criminal Justice from Queen’s University, Belfast. I also worked in a number of organisations, namely the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), the National Health Information Authority (HIQA) the New York State Assembly Legislature and An Garda Síochána (Ireland's National Police Service). I currently work full time as a Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Associate in the Centre of Excellence in Terrorism, Resilience, Intelligence and Organised Crime Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ (CENTRIC).
