Summary

Dr. Aslam Jarwar holds the position of Senior Lecturer in Smart Computing at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ in the United Kingdom. In addition to his academic role, he also serves as a consultant in the Digital Innovation for Growth (DIfG) program, which aims to drive digital transformation in Sheffield and South Yorkshire. Furthermore, he is a member of the Editorial Board for the IASC - Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing Journal and acts as the Managing Guest Editor for an Elsevier Journal focused on Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments. Their research interests include a wide range of topics, including digital sensing and wellbeing, IoT-enabled healthcare systems, Social IoT and Trustworthy IoT Systems, Industrial IoT and Digital Twins, Context-aware IoT services and applied AI.

Secure Ontologies for IoT Systems (SOfIoTS)

The SOfIoTS project is in partnership with National Physical Laboratory (NPL), Cube Controls, RITICS, 4D-SIG and PETRAS SRF1. The SOfIoTS project aims to understand and develop cybersecurity attributes for existing Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) network ontologies to include machine learning at the Edge. The project’s outcomes will result in publications on which further academic endeavors can be built, whilst contributing to the understanding and methodologies of data security and assurance in Building Management Systems (BMS) in sensitive public buildings.
