Chris is the Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Development Manager in the Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ and Innovation Office, leading the Grants and Systems Team since June 2015.
About
The team provides a wide variety of support to the University's academic community, including identifying funding opportunities, delivering researcher training events and supporting the development of high-quality research proposals to a variety of funders.
Taking a lead role in supporting large-scale collaborative bids and supporting the development of the University's Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Management System, Converis, Chris acts as Chair for the Converis Governance Group.

- award review and acceptance
Prior to joining Sheffield Hallam, Chris worked in a variety of research support roles at Imperial College London, starting out as a Grants Administrator in the Faculty of Medicine Joint Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Office and later becoming Grants Manager for the School of Public Health and Division of Respiratory Medicine.
With over a decade of experience within the Charity and HEI sectors, Chris remains active in external networks, contributing to internal staff development events and external training courses. He presents an annual session as part of the North of England Consortium for Arts and Humanities (NECAH) PG Cert residential course, as well as acting as course lead on the Association of Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Managers and Administrators (ARMA) Post Award Finance workshop.
