Summary
As Division Head, I provide visible and active leadership for the Division of Business, Management and People. This includes leading and managing the portfolio of courses and people in the division to deliver excellent applied courses and a fantastic student experience.
I have a passion for applied and work-based learning, recognising it as the foundation for personal and professional growth and strongly believe that Sheffield Hallam delivers on its ambition to be a world-leading applied university.
About
I have worked at Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ since 2010 and have an industry background in Human Resource Management and Hospitality, working nationally and internationally. Teaching specialisms include Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour and reflective practice, with a focus on applied and work-based learning.
As Division Head, I provide visible and active leadership for the Division of Business, Management and People. This includes leading and managing the complex portfolio, the deployment of staff and resources and ensuring the financial sustainability of the division.
As a member of Sheffield Business School leadership team, I work to make a significant contribution to delivering on the strategic plan and achieving overall success for the School.
I also lead and manage business school-wide activity, with a current focus on ensuring Ofsted readiness for our Apprenticeship provision having previously worked as Apprenticeship Lead for the Department of Management. In this role, I worked collaboratively externally and internally across the university to consistently deliver high quality provision and results.
Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ interests focus on the role of work in the lives of lifestyle migrants, the social context of work and the future of work. Methodological interests are around the use of narratives and ethnographic fiction science and social media as a data collection tool. Pedagogical research interests are on the value of work based learning and the role of the academic advisor.
