David Morrish

David A Morrish BA, MA, PGcert, FHEA

Senior Fashion Academic and Student Experience Lead for Art & Design

Summary

I'm David Morrish, passionate about the world of fashion design, craft and textiles. In my roles as a researcher, lecturer, and practitioner, my focus has always been on pedagogy, digital embroidery, storytelling and integrating CADCAM technologies to innovate. I'm deeply intrigued by the marriage of traditional craftsmanship and modern manufacturing methods. My goal? To help promote and advance embroidery,  showcasing its full potential and raising its appeal. I am twice winner of the title, Wilcom Digital Embroiderer of the year, a crafts council member and QEST scholar. My work has been featured on national tv, publications and exhibitions home and abroad, with a clientele that includes celebrity names and house hold brand names.

About

My work is centralised around quality. Quality is design and manufacture. For me, slow fashion, quality, limited editions and exclusivity helps shape my business model and creative mindset.
