Summary
Dawn is a multidisciplinary researcher with academic foundations in sociology, psychology and urban regeneration. She joined CRESR in 2022 as Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Culture Manager bringing 13 years experience in Professional Services Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Grant Management. Dawn works as a core member of CRESR’s academic research teams, working on decarbonisation and sustainability projects, alongside providing advice and support to the CRESR community on applying for research grant funding.
About
Dawn’s research interests lie at the intersection of sociology, social psychology and urban and regional studies. She is currently working on projects that focus on just transitions to low carbon sustainable futures, including research on SME sustainability transformations, impacts of industrial decarbonisation for workers and communities, and just transitions through housing retrofit. These projects investigate the impacts of decarbonisation policies for different populations including small and medium enterprises, workers, local communities, and residents. Dawn is interested in exploring ways of bridging the gap between policy and what this means for practical inclusive action in everyday social practices.
