Summary
Emmanuel joined Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ in 2022 and teaches Organizational Behaviour/HRM. He holds a PhD in Management from the University of Hull. He is a member of the Academy of Management and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA)
His main research interests are; Employee Voice and Silence, Health services/Patient Safety. He has published in major management and healthcare journals (e.g., the International Journal of Human Resource Management; British Medical Journal (BMJ) Quality and Safety; Journal of Health and Organization Management). Emmanuel has been recognized as an outstanding Early Career Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµer and was awarded the Sheffield Hallam Early Career Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ and Innovation Fellowship for the 2023/2024 academic year. He peer-reviews for journals (e.g., Journal of Industrial Relations; International Journal of Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Journal). Emmanuel supervises PhDs and is open to prospective supervision in Employee Voice and Silence, Organizational Behaviour and Cross-Cultural aspects of HRM. He is passionate about teaching and supporting students to thrive and leverages his industry and research background to enrich students' experiences.
Prior to joining Hallam, Emmanuel worked on Projects (Ghana Business Development Review and Building Stronger Universities) at the University of Ghana and taught at the University of Hull. He also worked in Banking and Sales, including at Barclays Bank, Ghana, before joining academia.
