Summary
Senior Lecturer in Modern Languages & Intercultural/Professional Development & Practice | UG International Business Course Leader
About
I am a Senior Lecturer in Modern Languages, as well as Intercultural & Professional Development & Practice, at Sheffield Business School's Division of Global Business, Tourism, and Hospitality Management. My experience goes beyond the standard academic settings. Since September 2023, I have served as a Collaborative Course Leader for the School's European Partnership Programme, a newly validated degree in International Business developed and delivered in collaboration with two prestigious AACSB-accredited Business Schools (IÉSEG Paris and IQS Barcelona), and since September 2024 I have been a Course Leader for our International Business Courses. My many responsibilities have honed not only my academic ability, but also my organisational skills in managing and advertising our prestigious courses. Since 2015, I have been regularly nominated as an inspirational teacher and for providing outstanding student support within our School. In 2023, I received the School's Award for Outstanding Academic Advising.

Modern Languages & Cultures:
My work examines the dynamics of hybridisation and media convergence in the post-media era, focusing on intermediality and self-reflexivity across cinema, comics, literature, painting, and photography. Since 2015, I have contributed to diverse projects, including peer reviews, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research modules, and engaging in collaborative research both within and beyond the University. I have also delivered guest lectures and presented at conferences in the UK and internationally.
Intercultural & Professional Development & Practice:
I have recently developed a keen interest in intercultural and cross-cultural competency, exploring topics such as managing linguistic diversity in educational settings and the impact of foreign language instruction on students' academic experiences abroad.
