I joined the SHU Physiotherapy team as a lecturer in 2017, and teach across both undergraduate and post graduate programmes.
My specialism is musculoskeletal practice. I am an active researcher in this field and work clinically in both primary and secondary care settings.
About
I joined the Physiotherapy team at SHU as a lecturer in 2017 after working as a Physiotherapist in a variety of clinical settings within the NHS and in professional football. My clinical specialism is musculoskeletal practice and I teach across all BSc (Hons) and Pre/ Post Registration MSc Physiotherapy programmes at the University. I also have an active teaching role on interdisciplinary advanced practice modules within the College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences.
Aside from my teaching, I am also a member of the Physiotherapy placement team where I get the opportunity to train, update and build relationships with practice educators who support our students whilst on clinical placement.
I continue to work clinically in Trauma and Orthopaedics and in an Extended Scope role as a first contact practitioner in primary care. I am also an active researcher with on going studies relating to musculoskeletal practice.
