About

I joined Ï㽶ÊÓƵ in 2009 following the successful completion of my PhD at the University of Sheffield. I also hold a BA (Hons) in History and two Master of Science degrees.

I have a wide range of research interests including initial teacher education routes, education on climate change and the environment more broadly, teacher professional development, and teacher use of research evidence. I lead and contribute to research and knowledge exchange projects for a number of funders, including Wellcome, the Education Endowment Foundation, the Department of Education, OfSTED and the Youth Endowment Fund.

Before undertaking my PhD, I worked in the third sector, for the National Trust in the Policy and Strategy Directorate. I also have extensive experience of working in the private sector, mainly in IT and project management.

I am co-director of the Wipro Teacher Fellow and Teacher Mentor Programme and also Co-lead of the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Engagement Practice Network - https://repn.shu.ac.uk/
