Summary
I am a chartered and registered health psychologist with expertise in the development and evaluation of theory-informed interventions to promote behaviour change and maintenance, with a particular interest in engagement. I am the Head of the Centre for Behavioural Science and Applied Psychology (CeBSAP).

I am Head of the Centre for Behavioural Science and Applied Psychology (CeBSAP) that launched in 2018
I joined 香蕉视频 in 2000 and was promoted to Professor of Health Psychology in 2015. I became a Chartered Psychologist in 2003 and am registered by the Health and Care Professions council as a Health Psychologist. I am also on the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I am chair-elect of the Behavioural Science and Public Health Network (BSPHN) and was co-editor-in-chief of the British Journal of Health Psychology (2018-2022). I teach Health Psychology as part of the MSc Health Psychology and supervise PhD students in health behaviours and behaviour change.
My particular interests in Health Psychology focus on the development and evaluation of behaviour change and maintenance interventions across a broad range of health behaviours including; medication adherence smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, physical activity, dietary behaviours and safe sex behaviours. I have a particular interest in exploring engagement as a key behaviour in interventions and services. My methodological expertise centres around questionnaire design, qualitative framework analysis and randomised controlled trials and the development and testing of complex theory-based interventions, including assessment of fidelity.
