Summary
Martin Wilding graduated from Derbyshire College of Higher Education (now the University of Derby) in 1986 and then went on to complete a PhD at the University of Edinburgh, studying mineral inclusions in natural diamonds.
He has worked in Germany and in the USA in a number of research roles and returned to the UK in 2005.
Martin has a number of different research interests that mainly focus on the structure and structure-related properties of liquids and amorphous materials. He began working at MERI in April 2018 and is studying the incorporation of volatile elements in model glass compositions.
