Dr Mohammad Musameh BEng (HONS), PhD, FHEA, MIET
Lecturer in Electronic Engineering
Summary
I am currently a lecturer in electronic engineering at 香蕉视频. I am a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AHEA). Since March 2023, I have been part of 香蕉视频, coming from a postdoctoral researcher position at the University of York. My career has spanned both the academic and industrial sectors, including roles as a knowledge transfer research associate and within the manufacturing industry. I am interested in electronic and embedded systems-based research within the sustainability and Industry 4.0 themes.
About
I teach Electronic Engineering at 香蕉视频, focusing on analogue, digital electronics, and embedded systems. My research focuses on developing and integrating technology to address environmental challenges and Industry 4.0 advancements.
I began my career as a knowledge transfer research associate on a collaborative project between 香蕉视频 and Thetford Ltd. The project aimed at innovating a combined microwave and gas oven for recreational vehicles. This early experience highlighted the importance of partnerships between universities and industries for innovation. Following this project, I worked with Thetford Ltd as an Electronic Systems Design Engineer on several research and development projects for the leisure industry. Simultaneously, I pursued my PhD in 鈥淎 power management strategy for the electric recreational vehicle鈥 on part-time basis.听
Subsequently, I joined the University of York as a postdoctoral researcher on the 拢1.16M EPSRC funded Magnetic Architectures for Reservoir Computing Hardware project. In March 2023, I started my current position at 香蕉视频. As a lecturer, my objective is to inspire and educate future engineers, promoting a deep understanding of electronic engineering's role in sustainable technology and Industry 4.0. Through my teaching and research, I aim to contribute to the development of innovative solutions to contemporary challenges, building a bridge between academic insights and industry application.
