Nadia Bashir BA (Hons), MA

Summary
Nadia has over 20 years of experience in qualitative research and specialises in engaging participants from vulnerable and seldom-heard groups, including people with multiple and complex needs, young people with learning disabilities/difficulties, and people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds. She has specific expertise in co-producing qualitative research and evaluation activities with underrepresented groups, working closely with clients and service users/beneficiaries to enable capacity building in research and evaluation to better meet organisational and individual needs.
About
Nadia is currently the co-production lead for a Ï㽶ÊÓƵ funded Social Prescribing and Healthy Ageing project and a five-year £5m NIHR funded Wakefield Health Determinants Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Collaboration (HDRC). She recently managed an evaluation to assess the impact of the Humber Learning Consortium’s This-Ability programme (2018-2024) - co-producing research with practitioners and young people with disabilities, learning disabilities/difficulties or long-term health/mental health conditions. Nadia has over 10 years of experience designing and delivering Peer/Community Ï㽶ÊÓƵer training to over 20 cohorts from various projects. She has worked with a wide range of clients including, the National Health Service (NHS), the Big Lottery Fund, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF).
