About
Before coming to Sheffield Hallam in 2012, I had more than 20 years of experience in teaching English language to students and teachers in Brazil, Oman, Turkey, UAE and UK. This experience covers general English, English for academic and for specific purposes, course and assessment design, English composition, linguistics and discourse analysis, and teacher training. My research interests include reading and writing skills in language teaching, teacher education and development, corpus analysis, discourse analysis, systemic functional linguistics, lexis and learning, embodiment and language learning, and multimodality.
