About
Prveen received his doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University (HWU) in 2017, with a thesis focusing on in-situ monitoring of additive manufacturing. Prveen has worked with companies like Siemens AG, General Electric (GE), and the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) to design and develop novel sustainable manufacturing processes. Throughout his career, he has led and completed industrial projects worth over £1.5 million, collaborating with leading industries such as Renishaw, Rolls Royce, and the European Space Agency, as well as research centres like STFC and MTC. Prveen has a robust background in both fundamental and applied research, with over 20 high-quality publications, one patent, and a book chapter. He chaired the Early Career Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµer (ECR) Committee of the Association of Industrial Laser Users (AILU) and serves as a reviewer for more than 25 journals. Prveen was awarded GE's "Management Award" for advancing a key project, has served as an external and PhD examiner at SHU, and mentored engineers pursuing chartered fellowships with the IMechE. He has also been a visiting lecturer at IIT Indore and the University of Navarra, Spain. Additionally, he holds the title of Honorary Senior Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Fellow at the University of Birmingham.
