Summary
I provide strategic leadership of UK and international partnerships for the College of Social Sciences and Arts. I work with our partners, communicating the strategic vision, mission and ambition of Sheffield Hallam to be the world's leading applied university.
I provide leadership and direction on matters relating to global engagement, including international development and recruitment, partnerships, student and staff mobility. Additionally, I bring a wider global dimension into the curriculum and life of the University.
I work with the a range of colleagues across the University to identify clear, targeted, comprehensive actions to deliver and grow recruitment, global and academic partnerships activity, in line with the relevant cross-university plans and the University strategy, whilst meeting the standards of appropriate national and international quality assurance bodies.
I am accountable for the global student experience within the college and promote equality, diversity and inclusion within all aspects of the student experience. To achieve this, I work collaboratively with members of the college and departmental leadership teams to develop and promote innovative ideas and academic practice to enhance the college's partnership development and global curriculum, including promoting and enabling interdisciplinary collaboration.
Alongside my leadership role at the University, I am an active researcher and pride myself on the applied nature of my outputs. My publications tackle real world problems in disciplines such as elite parasport. My current research focus provides me with an outlet to remain engaged with sport, shaping policy, whilst enhancing the experience of para-athletes and international sporting success.
