Physical Activity for Mental Health and Psychological Wellbeing




This module examines the role of physical activity in promoting mental health and psychological wellbeing. Students will explore the physiological and psychological benefits of movement, the impact of sedentary behaviour, and evidence-based approaches to integrating physical activity into mental health care. The module emphasises person-centred and co-produced strategies to support individuals in overcoming barriers to physical activity, enhancing recovery, and improving overall wellbeing.
